the exciting annual event hosted by GDSC PolyU that brings together talented students from all over the world to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills!
PolyHack is a hybrid hackathon and ideathon that challenges participants to tackle real-world issues, regardless of having technical or non-technical backgrounds. Over the course of ten days, students receive insightful guidance and support from industry professionals as they work together to create innovative solutions and make a positive impact.
During its founding year in 2022, PolyHack attracted over 300 participants from 23 regions, representing 75 educational institutions and 80 different majors. The competition is fierce, but winners receive a wide range of prizes, including cash, tech gadgets, internships, certifications, and much more. In fact, the total prize sum awarded at PolyHack 2022 exceeded 150,000 HKD!

Get ready for an exciting journey at our hackathon, which is divided into two phases: Ideation and Implementation.
Make your idea and implement it!
During the Ideation phase, participants will dive into researching their chosen problem statement and come up with a comprehensive business plan for a viable solution. They'll have the opportunity to brainstorm with their teams, consult with industry professionals, and develop their ideas to perfection.
Then, during the Implementation phase, participants get to roll up their sleeves and bring their ideas to life! With the support of their team, they'll have the chance to turn their plans into a tangible solution that can make a real-world impact.

Hosted by a group of students at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), this is our signature event that brings together talented students worldwide to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills!
